Rick Green was formerly a Managing Partner at Marathon Partners, a firm that specializes in managing venture funded enterprises. Mr. Green served in that capacity since January of 2002. Prior to founding Marathon Partners, Mr. Green was the Chief Operating Officer of Bracknell Corporation from 1999 through 2001. Mr. Green was responsible for integrating numerous acquisition candidates, while improving operating margins over 45% from 4.4% to 6.4%.
Prior to joining Bracknell, Mr. Green was President and CEO of Nationwide Electric, Inc., a nationwide consolidator of electrical contractors. Mr. Green grew Nationwide from start up to $250 million in annualized revenues from February of 1998 to September of 1999, when it was sold to Bracknell. Upon sale, Nationwide’s principle equity sponsors earned a compounded after-tax return on equity in excess of 100%.
Prior to joining Nationwide Electric, Mr. Green was involved in both start-up and turn-around situations in a chief executive capacity. He has also held numerous executive level marketing, strategy, and line management positions with Emerson Electric.
Mr. Green was an engagement manager with McKinsey & Company. He earned a B.S.M.E. from Stanford University and a Masters in Management from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
